This week, our Year 8 students stepped into the world of engineering with a practical, hands-on workshop designed to spark curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills.
Working in small teams, students tackled real-world challenges using a variety of tools and materials. From building structures to experimenting with mechanical components, the sessions gave them the opportunity to explore the exciting possibilities of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) in action.
The atmosphere in the room was one of focus, teamwork and discovery, as students learned through doing – testing out their ideas, adapting their designs, and celebrating the successes (and failures!) that are all part of the engineering process
This experience is part of our wider commitment to broadening students’ horizons and introducing them to careers and pathways they might not have considered – and judging by the enthusiasm on display, we may have just inspired the engineers of the future!
